If it goes dry, it Is going to help the missionary work. Then the honest people of the world are going to acknowledge that we are standing by our con victions. The president of the Utah States has no right, it is not within his jurisdiction to tell Utah how she is to vote on the liquor question. He has no right to send anything detrimental into my home or your home. No one will support him quicker than I will when he suggests anything that Is right or for our welfare. I care not what political party the president belongs to since this is not a political question. They tell you we need the revenue. Dont let them fool ' you. The court cases that will come as a result of the increased drunkenness will cost far more than any revenue we may get from the sale of liquor. They also tell you that bootleggers will come here If we vote dry. That is not true. Bootleggers will not come here. Of course, therell be bootleggers. We have them now. But there will be more bootleggers in wet states than in the dry because they will be able to sell with less detection than in the dry states. There will be thousands of liquor sellers who will not want to pay the necessary licenses and taxes that will be imposed on the legalized retailer. Right now there are more bootleggers in Canada than we have here. Thats what people of Canada have told me. I dont know of these things myself but I have been told by people from Canada that such is th ecase. Liquor is an outlaw and should not be legalized. I hope It will not be legalized.
