Sheriff Jeff Stowell was the first to file his petition. Mr. Crookston prior to his election four years ago, was a school teacher at North Logan, his home precinct. At that time the Democratic ticket was swept into office in this county with a landslide of ballots. Since becoming county clerk. Mr. Crookston, with the aid nf able deputies, has carried on tiie work in his 'office in a satisfactory manner. There has been little if any public criticism for his adminiBtrataion. Ag is the custom he has decided to "throw his hat" into the political ring for a second term.
