The reprieve was granted early In the summer by Governor Henry H. Blood when a controversy arose as to whether the Second or Third district court had Jurisdiction to conduct a sanity hearing. The termination of the reprieve means that the man who has been twice sentenced to die must seek another means of avoiding punishment. He has three alternatives: He can appeal to the Second district court the one in which he W'as convicted and sentenced for a sanity hearing; he can appeal to the board of pardons for commutation of sentence or he can seek the Intervention of the United States supreme court on the ground that his constitutional rights have been infringed.
