Later disinfect thoroughly with a reliable coal tar product. Follow when dry with a fire gun" if possible. With natural brooding, use hens that are healthy and free from external and internal parasites. Raise turkeys apart from chickens on land not occupied by either for at least one year. Provide plenty of clean range after poults are old enough to go without artificial heat or when 6 or 8 weeks of age. Provide movable roosts for poults on range and move them and the feed hoppers frequently.
