Show Yld Cat Page 2 3. April 1961 Library Week Recently, Miss Berry was able to give some of her busy time to be interviewed for the paper. Being a librarian actually takes up more time than most people seem to realize. National Library Week is cmo-inup. It will begin April 16 and will end April 22. During Ibis week there will be various activities sponsored by the library, including bulletin boards and maybe a contest with prizes offerer to the winner. The library is also going to sell old books for 10c and 25c. Every year, according to Miss Berry, literally hundreds of books are lost by students. Before school is out there might be a day when no fines will have to be paid. This is a chance for the person who has had a book out since school started, and doesnt have the courage to bring it back. If students would take time to use the library they would be bennefitted by it. There is a vast varitey of books on practically all subjects. The library gets apnew books proximately 300-40- 0 a year. Miss Berry would like to acknowledge the work of her helpers in the library. They get better and better every year, she says. g Verdun Watts is shown here working one out of many nights on his science project.
