This play has to deal with the school life of Henry Aldrich, an adolescent high school lad, who finds it quite impossible to keep himself out of trouble. It is a constant battle between Mr. Bradley the Principal, and Mr. Nelson, the Assistant Principal who never seem to be able to decide whether The students and faculty of the B. Y. High School express deepest sympathy to Eugene Tolboe. We sincerely pray that comfort will be given him and that he will find the courage, and faith needed to achieve the ideals which his parents have wished for him. as bad as he Henry is really seems or not. A detective is called in on the case, and Henry finds himself really in hot water and keeps the audience in a roar until the end of the play. Bob Morgan takes the lead, playing the part of Henry. He has clearly shown his ability in plays presented in the previous years. You will remember seeing him in Big Hearted Herbert, where he also took the lead as Herbert Bob makes the play a scream with, his excellent characterization of Henry. Audery Olson plays opposite Bob as Barbara Pearson. Henrys girl. Clair Anderson is Mr. Nelson who is in love with Miss Shae, the principals secretary, played by LaDean Anderson. Mr. Bradley, portrayed by Eugene Talboe, is the principal who is determined to run the school in a proper, straight laced manner. Helping Mr. Clinger in directing the play have been Miss Mary Donna Jones, assistant director, and Lois Burch, student director. Mr. Krier, manager of the Intermountain theaters of Provo has offered the student that sells the most bonds a free pass for himself and a friend for a month. Up to Friday evening, the student having sold the most was Fred Baird, who has sold over $3500 worth of bonds. Never the less, the contest is not over, because some of the students plan to extend the time and continue the porch light drive. The drive will not actually end until the last of the month. Also, 20 students will receive for their sales in bonds, flags, similar to those sewed on the back of combat pilots jackets. In spite of the fact that it was the general opinion that the porch light bond drive would be of little value, we have collected a lot of money, and find ourselves ahead of the Provo High School who had three times the people we had. Never let it be said that the Y doesnt do its part in all that the government asks us to do. We wish to thank Mrs. Caine for all of the hours that she has put in on this and the other bond drives. She has really done a great job in handling the drives for the Y High school. We have exceeded our quota every drive and as of Friday, Dec. 14, we have over 1500 of our bond quota in the Victory War Loan Drive.
