I watch with happy anticipation as they come into my heart. I welcome these who still return from day to day, but I eagerly watch for those who have been away. While I wait I know that I must realize that although I long to embrace them all, there are those who cannot return today, except by thought. The ties that bind are elastic and though sometimes they are . far away, their thoughts return As I INWS to me, reminding them to be OpcvlQI true to their teachings. High are Marcia Dean, Carol Gerber, Son-ni- e Jacobson, Connie Cloward, and Leslie Hansen. All are highly qualified and each would make a lovely queen. Sonnie is the school secretary, was list years head cheerleader and an attendant to last years Homecoming queen. Carol helped liven last years activities as a cheerleader. IVlarcia, a member of the for three years, is a very talented person. Her singing is a favorite to her and to those who listen to her. Connie, a member of the and a Thespian, is very active in all school functions. Leslie, also a Thespian and is a High. The veteran at B.Y. football team did the nominating in just a little different way this year. They divided into five groups and each group nominated a girl whom they will also sponsor. This method of nominating puts a bit of competition in the Lettermans club too, because the group whose nominee wins gets their dues paid for them. Quite an original idea at B. Y. High, woulnt you say? The campaigning for the queen was something very different. The posters and the different campaign gimmicks were unique. |
