Y. high a week ago. After smooth sailing, and winning two hard fought games from South and Ogden, the break came. The little things began to mount up; the team was picked to finish first in the Alpine loop, publicity and stars came over night, a mounting egotism of invinciblity hit the the squad and the school. But the coach was useless in his efforts to stave off the enevitable. The break came the week of the Juab game where the Wildcats had their ears pinned back by a score over twice their own. What happened'. Well, the cats became stars all at pnce, each man playing for himself, over the team. There were five players, but not a team. What was even worse, the big sounding predictions were expected to win the games, in the place of hard ball playing. The bankboards were expected to take care of themselves and leave the players open for large box scores. Thanks to coach Crowton after a week or so of tolleration he was finally able to beat a little sense into an ungrateful team. With a new sense of the word team again, the basketball squad is capable of winning the region, if they are willing to remember. 31-2- The second game, which was played in the Womens Gym found Wasatch stronger than ever, as they stopped the kittens in a 1 battle that gave the team much needed experience, as chey showed flashes of power.
