Kldridge gave a .brief outline out-line of tariff anil free trade plat- forms. Several questions handed in by members were then explained. A. II. Snow then read a resolution to remove It. II. Jones from office and expel him from the Club, it being claimed Mr. Jones is not ,in sympathy sym-pathy with the Club, or the Democratic Demo-cratic parlv, and that he is endeavoring to form a third party called the Workingmen's Party. The resolution was passed until next Saturday, when another meeting meet-ing will be held, in order to give Mr. Jones an opportunity to defend himself before a committee to be appointed, should he desire, when decided action will be taken. Election of officers for the ensuing en-suing year wat now in order, and t h e fol low i n g were el ec 1 cd 1 y j acclamation : President, John D. Peters. 1st Yiee-Pres., Jonah Mathiaa. 2nd Yice-Prc., O!of Jeppson. Secretary, II. N. Bowring. Treasurer, T. II. Blackburn. Thirteen new members were enrolled. en-rolled.
