The residenceof Mrs. Hillain was the scene of a very pleasant surprise sur-prise party last Saturday evening, given in honor of Miss Annie Ilill-a Ilill-a in's birthday. About 7 o'clock some of Miss Hillam's friends came and invited her t go for a sleigh ride, and w hile she was away about thirty uf her friends und relativeH gathered at the house prepared to have a good time. Atabout9o'cluck Miss Annie relumed and was surprised at finding so many pref cut, not being prepared for anything any-thing of the kind. Games, songs, etc., were the order of the evening. At 1 1 o'clock a delicious supper was served, and all d'd justice to it. At 1 o'clock the company dispersed, dis-persed, all haying had an enjoyable time, and wishing Misa Hillam many happy returns of the day, Thof-e present were; Mrs. Hillam, Mr. ami Mrs. Chas.
