The majority of our citizens are in favor of a fence law. The election elec-tion resulted in 44 for and 18 against a fence law. We trust our streets will no longer be filled with cattle running at large. ' Our City Council passed an ordinance prohibiting such a practice. May it bo strictly enforced. en-forced. 1). H. Cordon has been appointed by the city fathers to look after the water running through town. The Willard Dramatic Co. played the "Spy of Atlanta" to a good house on New Year's eve. The play was produced in the "new hall," which is splendidly adapted to theatres and dances. A grand ball will be given at tho "new hall" New Year's night. The music will be provided by the" Willard Wil-lard Home Cirle Orchestra," which is composed oi several of our talented talen-ted young men. Great credit is due them. Last Wednesday night several of the Brigham sports, through invitation invi-tation of the manager of the "new hall," eame down to Willard to attend at-tend a ball. Upon arriving, they found the houso occupied by the Dramatic Association, who were rehearsing re-hearsing The managor of the hall tried to attach the mistake to the sports, hut they said he had ' got muddled and given them the wrong date. But with jolly good humor the floor was cleared, few instruments instru-ments wero available, but a band was hastily organized and all enjoyed en-joyed a few lively hops to the music of a "broom stick band."
