Johnson officiated in the presence of members of the two immediate families and a few close friends. The bridal party Stood before a background of white burning tapers in seven branch candelabra flanked by tall baskets of pastel shades of gladioli. Garden flowers decorated the other rooms. The bride wore a gown of white nylon chiffon over satin, fashioned with silk lace and matching mitts. Her fingertip veil of brides illusion edged with silk lace fell from a tiara of seed pearls and sequins and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink rose buds tied with white satin ribbon. Maid of honor was (Miss Merle Thompson, sister of the groom, and brides maids were Miss Lucille Taylor and Miss Laree who wore pastel gowns with contrasting shoulder length veils and mitts. They carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations tied with pink satin ribbon. Standing as best man for the groom was Otis Larson of Tremonton. a (Following the ceremony wedding dinner was held at the home of the bride. A reception was held in the Bear iRiver ward hall with over three hundred attending. In charge of the gifts were Mrs. Lovene iMurphy and Mrs. Chloe Ellis. Nola Nessler had charge of the guest book. Ruby Anderson assisted by Donnell Mortensen (and Joyce Leonard served refreshments. During intermission a short program was given which consisted of a vocal solo by Max Murphy, a reading by Valoy Booth, an accordion solo by Floy Murray, and a vocal solo by Bob Cates. Jess Jensen, uncle of the bride, was master of ceremdnies. The newlyweds, who were married on the wedding anniversary of the brides parents and also her mothers birthday, left for a short honeymoon.
