MORE THAN 'A Sunday School Workers Meet At Pioneer Park Approximately 75 past and present Sunday School workers of the Second ward met at Pioneer park Monday, August 17 in commemoration of the organization of the first Sunday school in the church, December 9, 1919. A hot supper was served from two tables decorated with flowers and baby breath. An interesting program was rendered. Mrs. J. Carlos Sederholm was comhead of the refreshments mittee and Roma Jeppsen was in charge of the program as follows: Ann Jones gave two hula dances before supper. Wesley Anderson led the group in singing several Sunday School songs. The opening prayer and blessing of the food was by Patriarch N. J. Valentine. After supper, Volaidi Rossi gave a reading. rendered two Jay Valentine trumpet selections. Jeannine Anderson gave a reading entitled, Issis Wedding. Nannette Hum. phries and Janet Thompson, In costume, sang, 1 Don't Want, to Play In Your Yard. A humorous was reading Ship of Faith, given by Mrs. Luella N. Jeppsen. Mrs. Rosella Osborn from Ogden, and a former worker in the Sunday School, gave two humorous readings. Bp. Glen Knudsen and President Bennion each complimented the officers and teachers for the splendid work done in the Sunday School. Leaving in a special chartered bus the delegation stopped at Howell on the first leg of the trip, went through the beautiful new chapel built there since the last visit a year ago, enjoyed a wonderful fried chicken dinner and presented a short musical program. A brief pause was made at Yost during the afternoon as the group headed for Grouse Creek for a night stop. Arriving at thpir destination they found the Oakley, Idaho posse and ladies riding club were also visiting and entertaining and adding a carnival spirit to the occasion. Gas filled balloons and other novelties were distributed to the youngsters at each stop and proved a popular attraction for the boys and girls. Brigham City, Utah J. Woerner Dies In Tremonton Tues. Jacob Woerner, of Tremonton, died Tuesday at 4:15 oclock in the afternoon in the Tremonton hospital following a six months illness. November 8, He was born 1877, in Germany, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Woerner. He came to the United States in 1894, settling at Tremont, Illinois. He came to Bear River Valley in 1901 and in 1905 moved to Portland, Oregon. He married Rose Feucht in Portland in December 1905. They moved to BIG Mich.
