Weber And Bear River Also Win Over South Cache And North Cache The Box Elder basketball Bees crashed the win column for the first time in this years .region. competition by defeating the Logan Grizzlies in their own cracker box 28 to 21 last Friday evening. The Bees looked very sharp as the game got under way. They were fast and played heads up ball all the way. Being alert and dogging the ball all the way, .t'ne Logan boys had a difficult time gutting set for shots at the netted hoop. The attempts were all around the backboard, if they even hit it, and they were having just as much trouble with their free tosses. The result was that the Bees built up an 18 to 7 half time lead. To open the second half, the Grizzlies began to find range and the Bees by some seven points in the last two periods, hut the big lead was too much. Bradshaw. Handicapped by an ankle injury, which was in the first quarter, the tall boy shook off the effects and carried the scoring burden during the first half. The key player however, was Ifadfield. Better Five keglers from the Brigham City bowling league are entered in the state singles bowling tournament. The opening of the competition for the title began last Sunday in the capitol city. Lloyd Epperson, Max EpperPete" son, Lee Hazeldine, Peters and Ross Norr make up the team from Brigham with Lloyd Epperson rating the B classification, which is made up of bowlers with 164 to 180 scratch pin averages. The rest of the city league bowlers rolled in the C class which included everything up to 164 pins. floss Long Legs" Norr was the only one of the quintet to hit his stride early and rolled a 726 series to rank fourth in the C class. The tickets hit the sales stands yesterday with ringside, general admission and student tickets. The big names on the card will be Hy Sharman taking on a toughie, Dave Reynolds, formerly light heavyweight and junior heavyweight title holder. Dave Reynolds is a icolorful wrestler, but takes his profession very seriously which leads to fine wrestling as well as a good show. The matches will be for two out of three falls with a three-hou- r time limit. Hy Sharman, Intermountain title holder, is a veteran with lots of wrestling savvy. Hy will be in the role of the underdog, but is expected to give Dave a good match that wall hold the interest of the fans. Also on the card will be Ken Main of Salt Lake City, former A. A. U. champ, who has been undefeated in his last 50 matches. He will take on Tex Dittmer.
