I. A. activities, community recreation and activities, and Daughters Sons of Utah Pioneers. The groups use recordings, which are made by orchestras w'ho specialize in this type of music required for these dances and the fact that the calls for are rethe various changes corded along with the music makes them easy to follow and, consequently, easy to learn or teach to a new group. Many if the recordings are the same as those used by Prof. Lloyd thaw and his Cheyenne Moun-,aiDancers, who are said to lave the largest known repertoire of authentic western jances. Mr. Wheelwright has a very effective system for teaching the dances to a new group, which probably accounts for the fact that these dancers are in such demand; in fact, they stated that they had danced every night the previous week. They demonstrate a number, and then split up and each take a partner from the class, and in a surprisingly short time, everybody knows the dance, and enjoys it, too. The enthusiasm, as well as the rhythm, is contagious. The Ogden City Recreation department is now sponsoring dances every Thursday in the Central Junior high school, Mr. announced, Wheelwright and every one interested is invited to attend. The local people in attendance all expressed the hope that a similar project could be worked out in this community, and all pledged their support to the project. exdo won of Mrs. Maivin Jeppeson, presiMr. Jack Wheelwright of the dent, A demonstration will be Ogden City Recreaiion departgiven on Chiistmas favors and ment and a group of 19 dancers decoral ions.
