R. Dredge. The floral offerings were most beautiful and the ward chapel was well filled with relatives and friends of the deceased. The opening song, My Heavenly Father Knows, was sung by the choir and Phillip Bott offered the invocation.- Mrs. Connie Peters sang, Hold Thou My Hand. The speakers included E. M. Tyson, Bishop Wesley Tingey of Centerville, Anna S. Christofferson, John E. Baird, President Wm. C. Horsley and Bishop Dredge. Republicans of the seven polling precincts of Brigham City, met in their various precincts Monday night and elected delegates and alternates to the Box Elder county nominating convention to be held at the National Guard Armory, Wednesday, October NUMBER 52. At the afternoon session Saturday the Democratic county convention, held at the Armory in this city, the ticket was placed following in hunters and practically every hunter got some ducks. Hundreds of hunters from other parts of the state came to this section for the opening day, some going to the Bear River Bay region, while others tried their luck at the public hunting grounds. According to reports of many sportsmen, hunting was exceptionally good this year and the ducks were in fine condition. Two hunters, who gave their names as Ben Smith and R. King of Salt Lake City were arrested by game warden, Nello Christofferson, charged with shooting on the public hunting grounds after hours Saturday night. They were arraigned before Judge B. H.
