Louisa Bingham Peters, wife $ John D. Peters of this city, was M honored guest at a family party Iren Saturday evening and Sunday Beylmia, the Mutual girls summer tome, south of Mantua, the occasion jeing the 7i5th anniversary of her Irth. Mr. and Mrs. Peters, who in November, 1929, will celebrate their Ixtieth wedding anniversary, have ght children, all of whom were except one, Mrs. Emeline iresent ' Catkins, now in Honolulu. Stohl, a son pf Mrsj Sadie Stohl, assisted by a ptaff composed of Paul Peters, Boyd Iverson, Newell B. Call, Beth Iverson, (Milt Peters, Gloria Call and Gene Watkins. The sk:tch of this (appears in another-colum- n tissue. From the, family of another (daughter, Mrs. Laura Peters Iversn, EHIcame a beautiful tribute to mother. Stunts, musical numbers, etc., were given? by members of the various families. A splendid talk was given by Mrs. Peters to her family. A tribute was given Mrs. Peters by her husband, John D. Peters. During the evening, a sumptuous family dinner was served by Mrs. W. V.Call and Mrs. John W. Christensen, members of the family, to the sixty guests present. The upper room of the girls home was divided into two compartments, one for the women and one for the men, and at a late hour all retired for the night. Following breakfast Sunday morning, a song service was held. The family united in singing Sunday School songs and in exercises of a religious nature. At noon, a hot dinner was served by the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Peters, and in the afternoon the party broke up, concluding with best wishes in behalf of the guest of honor. John V. OUTLOOK GOOD SPUR APPROVED services were held at the Deweyville Ward chapel Sunday afternoon at 1 oclock for John W. Spackman, 54, highly respected resident of that place, who died last Thursday. There was a large- - attendance and a wealth of floral tributes. Counselor Orion W. Snow was in charge. The speakers were Bishop James Brown, Elders Wallace and Gibson of 'North Ogden, Charles J. Dewey, Bishop M. ,G. Perry and Counselor Snow. The musical program consisted of singing by the choir, vocal solos by Mrs. Bailey and Miss Randall of North Ogden and a duet by Abinidi Tolman and Mrs. Lavoy Chlarson. The invocation was offered by N. P. Marble and the benediction was pronounced by (Leo Madsen. Following the services the body was taken to North Ogden for burial The remainq were accompanied from Deweyville by a cortege of forty automobiles. Engineer Burnett Visits New Enterprise Creates Mafttua Property Large Pay Roll for . Yesterday. - Brigham City r Engineer J. A Burnett of Salt City came to Brigham City yesterday and spent several hours at the Charles Anderson mine south of Mantua.. He expressed himself as being pleased with the outlook at the mine and arrangements were made to have Mr. Burnett address a meeting at the commercial club rooms last evening. He was taken ill during the afternoon and was unable to remain here to keep the appointment He promised, however, to come to this city in the near future and address a meeting here, at which time he will give a detailed account of his findings at the mine. Development work at the Anderson mine has been in progress for some time and a tunnel has been run into the hill for a distance of about 173 feet. The work Is being prosecuted by Moroni Duke and son, and the present tunnel has passed through several bodies of good ore bearing gold, silver, copper and lead. The company has some fifty carloads of ore on the dump which averages $18 to the ton, and which, if marketed, will net about $10 per ton. I. C. main line to the large sand deposits east of the city was formally approved last night and filed with the , city recorder. Permission has been granted by the Public utilities Commission to cross Main street, which is a state highway, and the Utah Securities Commission has granted the privilege of selling stock, so that there is now nothing in the way of the completion of this road. Rails are arriving today and ties and poles are expected during the' week. The grade has been tracked out on the ground by the chief engineer of the U. I.
