The last two years Brigham headed her class; this year she is second and in detailing his findings, Official Scorer J. H. Wallis announced that the water supply of this city was one of the big factors in her losing out while the second objection was the continued practice of permitting property owners to- enclose their premises with barbed wire fencing. The manner of collecting garbage was also criticized. The official score which this city reached was 70.5.. Logan deads all the cities in its class as well as all nest at Tremonton. The improvements and additions contemplate the installation of one more burning kiln to make three altogether, and the installation of additional grinding machinery which will give the plant an increase in its capacity of an additional third. At the present time the mill is capable of turning out 725 barrels of cement every twenty four hours. There are four sacks of cement in a barrel and each sack contains 95 pounds of cement so that in reducing the barrels to sacks and pounds, the result is 2,900 sacks and 275,500 pounds of cement produced every day. The addition to the capacity of the mill will increase its manufacturing ability by over 966 sacks or 91.S33 pounds of commercial cement. These improvements are being made by the Ogden Portland Cement Com pany because of the Increased demand for their product which has attained a reputation reaching practically to n wesevery part or this ' tern The Knight Sugar Factory at Raymond.
