We are informed by letter from Raft River that Moroni Jensen of Mantua and one of his herders by the name ot Brown had a very unpleasant experi ence there about the 5tb of this month. There are four camps In that vicinity abou pi miles apart. It seems that the boys visit back and forth occasionally. The camps are Roan Jensen, Lewis Jensen, P. N. Wilson and M. W, Wight. Lewis had been home and was anxiwhen lie got back Roan ous to hear what news there might be, and for that purpose visited Lewiss camp They became so interested that it was 9 o'clock when the party broke up, and Roan in company with his herder started for home. Brown is an old timer in the bills and had never been lost In his life so he told Jensen to follow him. One of Mr. Browns legs is evidently a little Shorter .than the other and before long they were describing a circle of about 10 miles in circumference. They kept this up for about six hours, and becoming convinced that they were really lost, they shouted in hopes of being heard by someone who could direct them. They wore heard all right by W ikon's camp and found their way to it with little difficulty. They rest ed there for a few minutes, and after getting Uietr tHMiruuu sail hid- again into the nlgbt. They had no better luck than before, however, and after wandering about for three hours more "Roan decided that he would be take lead. He did so and was successful In reaching camp about 6 oclock in the morning Both men were almost exhausted. Next time they go on a visit they wilt likely tie a string to their camp so that when they want to go home tney can just follow the string. fiM-t- it Slanderous Brigham City, Utah. February 15, 190s.
