Ye are pared BRIGHAM CITY, BOX ELDER COUNTY, UTAH, THURSDAY, MissSeretha Iversen and Lorenzo Smith, a popular young couple of this city, were married yesterday afternoon the ceremony being performed by Bishop J. B. McMaster at the residence of the brides parents in the First ward. A reception was tendered them last evening which was a most enjoyable affair. Miss Annie Rasmussen and A. M. Nelson were also united in marriage yesterday at the Logan temple. Both are well known in this city, Mr. Nel-s- en being proprietor of one of our principal stores. A reception will be given in their honor tonight at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Rasmussen. Several weddings are reported for next week. X X Phtriw7i Stohl Furniture Co., Confessed to Shooting Lynch. Wm. Hobson of Preston, Ida., Will be Tried in Cache Co. For the Crime. The confession of William G. Hobson of Preston, Idabo, has cleared up the mystery uf a murder case which occurred Nov, 1st On the morning of November 2nd the dead body of James Lynch was found in a cattle car loaded with lumber at Ogden and up to the time of the arrest of Hobson at bis home in Preston, Nov. 16th, the case was shrouded in mystery Soon after his arrest Hobson confessed the cilme but claimed it was done In self defense. According to bis story he got Into the car at Cache Junction and found Lynch in there. This was about 10 oclock tiie night of Nov, 1st. Soon after the freight train pulled out for Ogden, Lynch became abusive, according to Hobson's story, and attempted torobbim. Falling In this, Lynch threatened Hobson and made a movement as if to pull a gun or a knife, Hobson then sbot Lynch who died before the train reached Brigham City. At this place Hobson left the car ahd took a train for Pocatello, Idaho, and afterwards went to his home in Preston, where he has a wife and six children. The crime was traced to him by G, R. Belnap, deputy sheriff at Ogden. was at first believed that ' shooting took place in this county but last Saturday Sheriff Josephson and County Attorney Perry went to Ogden and returned with Hobson to Bear River canyon wbere he pointed out the location where the shooting took place. This proved to be about three quarters of a mile over the line into Cache county and the trial will therefore have to be held in that county. The sheriff took the prisoner back to Ogden where he will be held for the Cache county authorities. Appoint a CouncilmanThe city council had a short session Tuesday night. Lewis J.
