R, In such is the case is premature Our reason for disagreeing with. the class leader in his conclusion is that we have in our midst men and women successfully pursuing other avocations who were once school teachers. For instance : we have a very successful banker, three or four merchants te good doctors, lawyers, horticulturists and farmers who have been school teachers and are now leaders in different lines of work. Our representative in the last Legislature has been a school teacher, and a particularly successful school teacher, too. Still he has followed other lines of work with results that are equally gratifying. While there are school teachers who are not fit for other work, yet we believe it to be the fault of the individual and not of the profession. We might say the same of anyone engaged in any other work. Any man who, barring accident or misfortune, should, after reaching middle age, apply to business men for a subordinate position would be treated with a certain degree of suspicion.
