Gilbert of this city reand proved satisfactory in every re- ceived word from a place about 4o miles from Ft. Washakie, Wyo., that their Bon Geo. Gilbert had shot himself four times and was dead and buried. The particulars were so meagre and unsatistaetury thatJLewis Rogers, a brother-in-laof the deceased, went out at once to get full informa tion and bring the body home. The place is over 100 miles distant from the railroad and Mr. Rogers encountered many difficulties in getting the body exhumed and frepared for shipment. He reached this city last Friday morning with the body. He states that an examination showed that yuung Gilberts nose had been broken and that there was but one bullet hole in the forehead. Every indication points to murder and wbi.e he was satisfied on this point he could obtain to evidence and it will probably forever be a mystery how and by whom the young man met his death.
