About two weeks ago Dick West, an f Indian who made his headquarters at I Washakie, died out near Keiton and a tsliort time afterwards his child about eigbteen months old died. Before his .death Dick said he had been given Isome liquor by a man at Keiton Iwbirh had po'soned him and the child. Both were taken to Washakie Jfor burial. Although Dick has been wild and reckless and his death not f great! mourned by his brother they have beeu considerably routed over the matter, believing that he and the child weie victims of I foul play. -, .i I Shot Ilf Joscphson and Commissioner jE. II. Jons of Keiton have been investigating the case, and from what they can learn it is their opinion that I Dick West died of typhoid pneumonia and the child from exposure.
