Though the crop of cherries in this area is better than average and quality is high, the farmers are not making money from them this year, Stewart declared. Most growers are receiving five and a half cents a pound for thei cherries and at the same time have to pay three cents to have them picked. It is feared that the same conditions will exist for the Stewart stated, apricot drop, and in this meeting in Salt Lake City we intend discussing the problem and trying to find out the reason for these conditions. For some reason the canners seem hesitant in canning this years crop and we intend to find out why. Housewives are advised to purchase their canning cherries as soon as possible. Delay may result in failure to obtain any of the crop. Mrs. Johnson Appointed Committee Head of Polio Bio Town Sucker Pl.tUSI Sponsored By YNDlCtl NIELSEN MOTOR CO.
