Johnsen Dies Wednesday H.V. Hardy Wins Promotion With Hansine Hansen Johnsen, 85, Bear River City, died at her home in Bear River City April 10 of causes incident to age. Mmm iCW5 - Mis Johnsen was born September 25, 1880, at Oristlev, Fuhui, Denmark, daughter of Hans and Meta Marie Yensen Hansen. She has been in the United States 68 years She was married to C. C. Johnsen July 22, 1886, by Mar-rinW Merrell in the Logan L. D S temple Her husband died about 13 years ago. She was reared in Denmark at Denmark Lutheran church and received a diploma from the Lutheran priest there. Mis. Johnsen was employed by a wealthy family in Denmark. Her work consisted of Passes Away Mountain States Wayne S. Smith of Ogden arrived in Brigham City this week and will take over management of the Brigham City Mountain exchange of the States Telephone and Telegraph company, April 16. Smith will replace H Vern Hardy, manager of the local exchange for the f years, past four and who has been promoted to the position of public office manager of the main exchange, Salt Lake City, with the Mountain States company. Smith has been with the Mountain States company 13 years, the past three years in Ogden. JCs Nominate Radios Are Needed For Bed Patients At Bushnell Hosp. John Mathias, chairman Officers; Will of camp and hospital Red Cross, today issued a request that all persons who have radios, either in good playing condition or needing repair, donate them for use of bed patients at Bushnell General hospital The need for radios is great. All who have a radio to donate are asked to leave them at William Horsley and Sons store on South Main street. If radios are in need of re pair the American Red Cross will leke care of pulling them in good playing condition. Much enjoyment is gained from radios in the wards at the hospital. Gardner, Mayor Austin L. Johnsen, Melvin A. Bishop Vernon L. Johnsen, Johnsen of Bear River City, and Henry C. Johnsen of Brigham City. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. Eight grandsons of three and the husbands granddaughters served in the recent war. None was injured and within the last few months she was able to see and welcome them home. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon, April 13, at 1 oclock in the Bear River ward chapel, with Carlos Jensen, first counselor, officiating. Friends may call at the Harold B.
