The following sketch of her life has been prepared by one who. was well acquainted with her eventful life: Inger Christensen, better known as Inger Lee, was born In Vraa, Sogn, Hjorring, Denmark, April 17, 1813, and joined the church in the summer of 1852. She was baptized by Elder Jens Scliow, two years after the Gospel was Introduced into Scandinavia. When she beard the first sermon on Mormon Ism preached, she was at once converted; she knew It was the truth. Although her husband was very much opposed to the Gospel, she finally obtained permission to join the church, with the understanding that she remain with him as long as be lived. Notwithstanding this agieement she aw many stormy scenes and had many bitter experiences that will never be known to anyone but herself. The neighbors would use their Influence with her husband against her, telling him that now the Mormons had taken his wife, tbe next thing they would take the children and then the home. Yet after he became Mormen people, the the to friendly house was open at any time for the missionaries who labored in that part of the country, and the name-o- f Inger Lee was familiar to all the mission aries who worked in that conference. She faithfully kept her promise te her husband. In' tbe year 1865 be died and shortly after, the home a good and comfortable one was sold. In the spring of 1866 she with her two remaining children the two older ones having emigrated some years before commenced the journey to the Valleys of the Mountains, where she arrived Oct. 6, 1866. When tbe farm was sold she did not hold back ber money, but loaned out all except enough to pay ber own way bereand helped more than a dozen people to emigrate, and all she had when she reached Salt Lake City, was a cow, a stove and some clothing. Very little of the money she loaned was ever paid back. She lived in Milton, Morgan county, aoout three years, when she moved to Brigham City. Shortly after arriving in Brigham City she was sealed to Lara C. Christensen. Her history since that time it well known to her friends and acquain fences, She was ever faithful and true to the principles of the Gospel and her faith never Logan is promised a free livery in the near future.
