| Show PORTA PORTAGE 11 PIONEER DIES IN SALT LAKE henryjohn henry john prominent resident of portage dropped dead on west north temple street in salt lake city tuesday morning while he was making his way in company with a son to the church office building was the cause of death mr john accompanied his bla son to salt lake to see him off tor for the mexican mission and as they walked along the street on their way to report at the church building mr john expressed himself as feeling well as he ever had been in all his life but added that he felt this would would be his last trip to salt lake A moment later li he dropped to the pavement and expired mr john was born in wales 71 years ago and came to this country in the early sixties he resident of portage tor for a great many years and is well known throughout the northern part of box elder county he is survived by his wife margaret rees john seven J ingrown rown children thomas P brigham H william A and noah J john of portage mrs margaret R howell mrs bertha N roderick of the same place and mrs ethel al roderick of samaria the body was taken to portage last evening and funeral services were held I 1 there today 1 |
