Show DEATH or r HENRY WILLIAM HARRIS henry william harris an old and ill bigly gly respected resident of this city passed to the great beyond last friday evening after an illness or of only two days tile direct cause being indigestion mr air harris was a native of england having been born bora at felton glouckes hershire ter shire feb 20 1836 1936 ile he was baptized into the church of jesus christ in his native towi april 24 1871 and lat later e r emigrated to utah arriving in salt lake lahe city sept 29 1873 in november of the same year mr liar har ris married mis winnifred davis a native of wales ivales and late in december mr air and mrs harris removed to this city by this union eight chil chii dren were born dour of whom are still living they being mrs nellie evans mrs maud bartholomew miss mabel harris and mr ht nry harri ilardi mr air harris bid ha d the misfortune to lose his hia wife quite a number ol of years ago and on reb feb 20 1889 was wag married to mary alary amar aho who vho cams came to utah from tile the bristol conference in ill ung eng land mrs harris is still living and has been a faithful mother to the children who were left to her while still quite young mr air s filled a mission to engi eng i land in 1833 5 ile he has been blind for about fifteen yeas caused by a piece of wood striking bim him in th the e eye while he was engaged in cutting some kindling ile he and his good wife wore were almost regular evening pedestrians up and down main alain street treet 13 both of them going along at a brisk pace and they were always together mr harris was a carriage builder by profession though he has net engaged in active m work ory in that line for many years ile he was on one of the workmen on the logan temple engaged in hauling rock with an all ox team ile he was a true hattei latter day saint and a strictly honest hones t man impressive funeral services were held in the first ward chapel yesterday at 2 the stand was a literal bower baiwer of mimi flowers ers and the casket caske t was avas completely cot cored red with floral designs splendid testimonies were borne as to the eliar character acter of the deceased by jacob glober green of wellsville ille C hoist F IV fish burn john D peters pres oleen N stohl and bishop G IV watkins walking music was furnished by the ward chol and between speakers mrs hortense E nelson sang rang 1 l go where you want me ile to go the prayers were offered by james olson olsen and william horsley A largo cortege accompanied the remains to tile the cemetery |
