Show PROCLAMATION the 26th and 27th of May, 1 961 have been designated by the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars as our annual Poppy Days, and, WHEREAS, on said days it has been the custom and the privilege of American citizens, in appreciation for the services rendered by members of said organizations in the past to honor the same by purchasing and displaying a poppy from said organizations so that the funds derived therefrom may be used in a worthy effort to look after and provide for the disabled war veterans; NOW, THEREFORE, be it PROCLAIMED that Frand iday Saturday, May 26 and 27, 1961, be hereby designated as Poppy Days in Brigham City, Utah, and all the residents of Brigham City are urged to support and cooperate with the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in this fine undertaking.
