Thats what David Whitey Call, of the Idle Isle Cafe in Brigham City advocates this week. In 1958 a $200 saddle, owned by Call, was stolen from his residence by a boy. Special effort to recover it was not made at the time of the theft, but this week the saddle snatcher confessed his crime in a written statement to Call in Brigham City. The youth, who is now living in South Dakota, wrote to the Brigham City claimant, explaining the situation to him. He told him that he had sold the saddle to an uncle in Carlin, Nev., where it has remained since that time. According to Box Elder County Sheriff Warren Hyde the former Brigham City boy decided to make the confession after tangling with his conscience for some time. After discussing the matter with his minister( the saddle was recovered after correspondence between the boy, his minister in South Dakota and the local sheriff's office. This week Call resumed possession of the saddle and claims his strategy in eventually catching up with the culprit has rewarding dividends.
