Opening day of this major upland game bird season was recently set by the fish and game commission in the interest of the public who wish to plan time ahead for this hunt. Spokesmen said the length of season, bag limits and other regulatory measures for the pheasant season would not be set until late summer following the regular collection of data covering the spring hatch brood success, and summer bird counts.
