Mrs. McPhie, a Salt Lake City school teacher, died Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Kanab hospital, after receiving a fractured neck, broken pelvis and internal injuries in an Arizona autoThe family mobile accident. was returning from a vacation trip when a tire blew out, causing the accident. Mrs. McPhie was born Sept. in Brigham City, a 8, 1907, daughter of Clarence B. and Lund Jensen. On Aug. 10, 1933, she was married to Joseph McPhie in the Salt Lake LDS temple. She had taught school in Sandy, Magna and Salt Lake City. Active in LDS church affairs, she had served an LDS mission a , to Texas prior to her marriage. She was serving in the Young Womens Mutual Improvement association and as a genealogy class teacher. Survivors include her husband, four sons and three daughters: Ruel J. McPhie, on an LDS mission to Guatemala; Lynn J. McPhie, on an LDS mission to the Western States; Byran McPhie, Bruce McPhie, Calliene and Tamzon McPhie .all of Salt Lake City; and Mrs. E. M. A native of Brigham City, she was born Aug. 4, 1934, a daughter of Orion and Jennie Petersen Eskelsen. She was reared in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High school in 1951. She attended Brigham Young University for two years. She was married to Robert Eugene Chaney on Jan. 28, 1955, in , Brigham City. They made their home in Brigham City for one year and then moved to Wichita,. Kan., and returned only recently to make, their home in Brigham City. Mrs. Chaney was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints and had been a worker in the Primary Assn., the Sunday school and YWMIA. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Scott Robert and Bradley Mitchner Chaney; her Mrs. parents,, a grandmother, Louisa J. Petersen, all of Brigham City; a sister, Mrs. Reese (Janice) Allen of Bountiful. He was born July 24, 1875, in Copenhagen, Denmark, a son of Carl M. and Christina Marie Liljha Borgstrom. The family came to Thatcher, Box Elder county, when he was two years of age. Mr. Borgstrom married Anna Louise Nielson on Jan. 6, 1897, in Logan. They resided in Thatcher, where he farmed. They came to Brigham City in 1946. Mrs. Borgstrom died in November, 1957. He had served as a member of the Thatcher ward bishopric for ll years and as president of the Bear River stake genealogical society. Surviving are one son and four daughters: Evan A. Borgstrom of Brigham City; Mrs. F. II. (Verna) Norberg of Denver; Mrs. T. J. (Pearl) Burghart of Mrs. Bernard A. Tremonton; (Ruby) Stone of Ogden; Mrs. Vaudess B. Marsden of Van Nuys, Calif.; one brother, Carl Borgstrom of Virginia City, Mont. Funeral services were held on Monday at 3 p. m. at the Harold B. Felt Funeral Home with Bishop Jay Oldroyd conducting.
