When he toddled into the dual wheels of a southbound truck near his home at Stone, Idaho, . located two miles north of Snow-Ville- The child, Jerry Lynnne derson, son of Victor and Elva Richards Anderson, was playing pear his home and suddenly walked into the street, according to investigating officers. Driver of the truck, Don Dean Hardman, 25, of Garland, told officers he saw the boy and ran into a ditch in an attempt to miss him. The truck is owned by Wendell Welling of Fielding. The child was born in Brigham City on March 14, 1956. t- He is survived by his parents and four brothers: V. Edward, Kenneth, Wynn and Tim Anderson, all of Stone; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lars Anderson of Snowville. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, at 1 p. m. in the Stone LDS ward chapel. He was born Sept. 18, 1873, in Willard, a son of Charles and Matilda Josephine Zundel Harding. He was reared in Willard. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1896, and did post graduate work in 1927 at the University of Utah and University of Chicago. He served an LDS mission in Switzerland and Germany from 1900 to 1903. He was a high priest in the Willard ward and served as an officer and teacher in the MIA and Sunday school. On Sept. 14, 1905, he married Edith Blackburn in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They resided in Willard where he taught school for 25 years. Surviving are his widow, one son and two daughters: Lewis Harding and Mrs. Roy G. (Helen Jane) Lemon of Willard; and Mrs. David J. (Beth) Merchant of Midvale; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Harding and Mrs. Clarice Hardy of Salt Lake Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, at 2 p. m., in the Willard LDS ward chapel with Bishop Orvin M. Lemon officiating. Friends may call at the family , home in Willard prior to time of services. Interment will be in the Willard cemetery, under the direction of the Harold B. Felt Funeral Home. Services were conducted Monday in Mantua ward. Interment was in Mantua cemetery. Death Claims BRIGHAM CITY, UTAH Noted Mantua Church Worker Mrs. Cora Gertrude Jensen Hailing, 66, Mantua, died at her home Friday after a short illness. Mrs. Hailing was born Jan. 30, in Mantua, a daughter of Christian M. and Anna Sophia Larsen Jensen. She was raised and educated in Mantua. On June 12, 1912, she was married to Wilford M. Hailing in the LDS Logan temple. She was active in church affairs, having served as, a primary counselor, ward organist, Relief society organist and visiting teacher in the Mantua LDS ward. She was a former member of the ward choir. 1892, Survivors include her husband, four sons and five daughters, Mrs. Chester (Bernice) Rasmussen, Clair Hailing, Mantua; Mrs. Glen (Melba) Stoker, Roy; Ray Hailing, Layton; Merrill Hailing, Clearfield; Mrs. Harold K. (Joan) Wallenstine, Logan; Mrs. Marloe (Arlene) Archibald, Wellsville; Darwin Hailing, 26 Hyrum; grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters, Ezra Jensen, Ogden; Lee Jensen, Los Angeles; Mrs. Arnold (Ida) Nelson, Mantua; Mrs. Fred (Viola) Bums, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Arch (Mae) Hill,, Richmond, Utah. Mr. Petersen was born Nov. 8, 1868, in Falstaf, Denmark, a son of Peter and Bertha Smith Rasmussen. He came to the United States at the age of 19. He married Joana Axtell on Dec. 21, 1899, in Salt Lake City. She died in 1956. He lived in Holbrook, Idaho, from 1912 to 1936, then moved to Brigham City. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, James W. Madsen, 83, long-tim- e resident of Brigham City, died early Saturday morning in Salt Lake, where he has been residing for the past several years. Mr. Madsen was born Aug. 17, 1874, in Brigham City, a son of Peter F. and Emelia Dahlgren Madsen. He was reared and educated in Brigham City. He was an active member of the LDS church throughout his lifetime and was a high priest at the time of his death. Dn Nov. 7, 1902, he married Ada Nichols in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They lived in Brigham City, where Mr. Madsen worked as a custodian at the Box Elder High school, from which he retired a number of years ago. Mrs. Madsen passed away June 25, 1952. Survivors Include three daughters, Mrs. Virginia M. Rhodes of Salt Lake City; Mrs. James S. (Marion) Rice of Bountiful; and Mrs. Donald (Eloise) Baker of Redwood City, Calif.; nine children; two brothers and two' sisters: Roland A. Madsen, Mrs. Emelia M. Welling and Mrs. Connie M. Peters, all of Brigham City; and Sterling ' Medsen of Blackfoot, Idaho. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p. m. in the Brigham City Eighth ward chapel.
