Sessions will celebrate their Golden today, Wednesday, Wedding June 5. They were married on June 5, 1907 in the Salt Luke LDS temple. They will be honored with a family dinner that evening at the Tropical Restaurant.- Mr. Sessions was born in Bountiful, July 13, 1885, a son of Perrigrine and Sarah Ann He served as Bryson Sessions. telegraph operator and station agent lor the Union Pacific K. 1(, company for 45 years and retired in 1952. Since that time he has served as Coordinator for the LDS church Northern Utah Welfare Region. He has served in many church offices and for the past 16 years a high councilman in the South Davis and South Box Elder stakes. He has been active in civic affairs and civic club work, serving a term as mayor of Farmington. Mrs. Sessions was born Oct. 27, 1885 to Joseph J. and Alice Cook Holbrook in Bountiful. She has been an active church worker in Bountiful, Farmington and in Brigham City, in Sunday school, Primary and Relief society work. She has served as BELOVED COUPLE Mr. and Mrs. Heber J. Young in Salt Lake City Many Brigham City people attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Young on Friday, May 31, at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant L. Valentine, 1255 Gilmer Dr. (905 South), Salt Lake City. Mrs. Young is the former NanShe and Mr. cy Valentine. Young exchanged wedding vows in the Skaggs Memorial chapel with Gerald Smith of Bonneville LDS stake presidency officiating. Parents of the benedict are Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Snow Young, 1608 Michigan Ave. (960 South) Salt Lake City. Thursday evening, parents of Mr. Young, entertained the bridal pair at a rehearsal dinner in the Hotel Utah Roof Gardens. For her wedding the bride chose a ballerina gown of white organdy featuring a round lace neckline accented with pearls and sequins. A crown of pearls held her elbow length veil and she carried a white orchid surrounded with stephanotis. Miss Tanny Reiser was maid of honor with Mrs. Paul L. Black, matron of honor. Also attending were Miss Kaye Merrell and Mrs. Douglas Denkers, sisters of the bridegroom. Christine Valentine, sister of the bride, was flower girl. They wore white delustered cotton gowns of street length with old rose satin sashes. They carried pink rosebuds and white carnations. . Richard M. Young stood as best man for his brother, with Hugh Olander, John Martin, Douglas Denkers, Paul L. Black and Dean Rogers ushering. For the honeymon trip to an undisclosed destination the new Mrs. Young chose a black and white linen sheath with black patent accessories. Better School Committee Meets; Hears Reports Citizens Committee for Betmet Wednesday, May 29, in the Chamber of Commerce rooms with Mrs. Don Olsen, temporary chairman. All PTA presidents of Brigham City schools were present or represented to hear Mrs. Tess Anderson give a summary of the convention she attended May 16, 17 and 18, at Alta. Mrs. Anderson, in the course of her report, stated that she was so Impressed by the group at the convention as to their deep down interest in education. She stated that at no time were the children overlooked in the discussions. A copy of the national paper, Better Schools, was given to each in attendance. The chairman presented before the group a desire for a regular monthly meeting date. She explained that a day so designated would make it possible for more of the general public to attend. It is the, aim of the group to accept suggestions and criticisms with their topmost concern trying to better underschool stand the communitys problems and to make each person more aware of education. A report of the committees meeting with the Board of Education was given with a feeling of mutual interest and understanding expressed by those attending. Suggested subjects to be discussed at future meetings were accepted with boundaries, new schools and the taxpayers responsibility to his investment, his child, as a few of those suggested.
