Show r-- Eagles Auxiliary By PARK VALLEY REPORTS: Visitors Tour Newspaper Plant Art Observance Set National art observance by the local lady Eagles will be held tonight, Wednesday, July 27, beginning at 8 p. m. In the Eagles hall. During ithe evening, handicraft toy members will be displayed and a textile painting demonstration will be presented by Mts. Earl Stewart. Along with jewelry and crocheting various other handicrafts will toe shown. The ladies plan to sew during the evening. The observance is to be held In connection with art plans for Box Elder county headed by Mrs. Henry L. Thorne. Birthday night will also be observed. Members are urged to bring their own embroidery hoops to work on articles for the annual cedar chest drive. Rosa Larsen Returns from Salem, Oregon Rosa (Miss Larsen returned last Friday from a three weeks vacation trip to Salem, Oregon. While there she visited with and Mrs. Thomas Baron and daughter, Elaine, of North Mr. Bend. She was the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shattuc (the former Larraine Baron) at Salem. Members of the Farm Bureau Unit . . . Bear River City, were interested visitors at the News and Journal office last Friday afternoon when they toured the printing plant, saw how the newspaper is produced. They enjoyed the explanations and beauty of the pioneer edifice and the organ recital. At Rees Pioneer park, refresh ments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Victoria C. Johnsen, Mrs. Rita Anderson and Mrs Gertie Iverson. The sisters then visited with Elwayne Larsen, a brother, now employed on the Palisades Dam project before the Utah and Arkansas members of the family toured Yellowstone park. Also here from Los Angeles, California has been another sister, Mrs. Veda Van Fleet, and her daughter. The Daniel family returned home Sunday.
