Show Brigham Couple Married 55 Years Auxiliary Members Attend Visitation Honeymoon After 55 Years Together 4 Ten Eagle Auxiliary members from and one new candidate the local aerie attended special state visitation in Salt Lake City, December 2. The affair was held in the La dies' Literary club beginning at 8 p. m. and honored Mrs Carol Bennett, Long Beach, Califoi nia, national president. During the evening 19 candi dates from the various uuxd- iaries of the state were initiated into the organization. Assisting the Salt Hike City officers with the initiation were members ot the Ogden drill team. Lovely corsages were presen ted to the national president. Mrs. Selma Harvey, state pres ident, and ''Mrs. Nell Wrighi Murray, state auxiliary mother the followed Refreshments program. Prior to the visitation state officers, presidents and score taries from the entire state met ai Berklunds to honor Mrs. Ben- i i Honeymooning in California after 55 years of happily married lives are Mr and Mrs. Oliver W. Olsen of 075 North Main I i - Prior to leaving for the California trip the Olsens, along with 18 family members, en joyed family dinner together at the Olsen home $ .a W. Olsen, 07.1 North Main, who recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary with 18 family members at the Olsen homo on North Main. . . , Together For First Time in Twenty Years per ward The pair became acquainted in the Harper LDS ward and participated in LDS church activities together. They exchang ed wedding vows in the Logan LDS temple. October 25, 1899 They recalled traveling to Logan over the mountain road via the horse and buggy. The weather was not too cooperative and many times the buggy wheels sunk into the mud and mire of ruts up to the hub caps Thev made their home in El wood for sometime, then purchased a farm in Harper ward and remained until 1958 when Mr Olsen retired from farming. Two of their twelve childien were born in Elwood, the re malndcr in Harper ward Their family included six boys and .six gnls, including one set of twins They have 10 living and rhildrcn, 29 grandchildren four great grandchildren. Both are in good health and still active in LDS church ac tivities. They are completely enjoying their California trip. They have spent time with Sgt. and Mrs. Phil FiCcarria and family at Monterey; Mrs. Clara C. Foulk i nd family at Martinez and Mr and Mrs. Vern Davis and family and Mr. and Mrs Lyle Olsen and family at Sacramento.
