On Friday evening a banquet was held at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City. Brigham City people attending the banquet were: Mr. and Mrs. Victor J. Bott, Mrs. Merle Malmrose, Mrs. Ressa Lowe and Mrs. George Hodges. Mrs. Reed, Mrs. J. Bracken Lee and Mayor Earl J. Glade were guest speakers. During the evening a beautiful copper tray was presented to Mrs. Reed by Mrs. Bott representing the Department of Utah. Rich; program, Lillian Felt and Vera Earl; good cheer, Mabel Holland, May M. Horsley and Martha Walker; entertaining, Afton Reese, Lura Redd and Ida Oneta Hamberland; calling, Thorne, Emma Hansen, Olivia Hansen; publicity, Artie Sessions. "Kind Words Are Sweet' Tones of the Heart" was the closing song. May M. Horsley offered the benediction. Refreshments were served by Karen Wilde, Lura Redd, Mabel Holland and Florence Baird to 24 members and one visitor. They represented the signal supply section of the Utah General Depot at Second street in Ogden. In the evenings following conference meetings spots of interest in San Francisco and surrounding areas were visited.
