Hold Mrs. Nels Christensen Services Today a The first polio death of the year was recorded in Box Elder county, Sunday, when John Kent Burrows, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Burrows, 105 East Second North, died after a three day illness at St. Benedicts hospital in Ogden. He was admitted to the hospi tal Friday and had remained in a critical condition, the disease attacking the respiratory area of the throat but was not the bulbar type as was originally thought. His was the fifth polio case in Box Elder county this year. John Kent Burrows was born September 27, 1935, at Brigham City, a son of Leonard E. and Eva T. Tornock Burrows. He was reared In Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High school last May. He was a member of the LDS church and was a priest in the , Eighth ward. Survivors include his parents, two brothers and a sister, Eugene Burrows of Pasco, Wash.; Robert George Burrows, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Sterling (Mary Lou) Tolman of Logan. She was born May 15, 1869, at Denmark, the Copenhagen, daughter of Soren and Ellen Mortensen Jensen. She was reared in Denmark until she was 10 years old when she came to the United States. She moved to Brigham City in two-mont- h 1879. - t She married Nels C. Christen sen June 5, 1889, in the Logan LDS temple. Mr. - Christensen died in March of 1945. She was an active member of the LDS church and had worked for 50 years as a Relief society visiting teacher. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: J. Archie Christensen, Salt Lake Lake City; Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Call, Pleasant View; Erving L. Christensen, Ogden; Romeo W. Christensen and Mrs. Eldredge (Elva) Roundy of West Corinne; ' 22 grandchildren; 28 . great- and one sister, grandchildren Mrs. Florence Jensen of Ogden.
