Show Mfff MMff Adolph Madsen Family Reunion Held Monday The Adolph and Mary Wag ner Madsen family reunion was held at Rees Pioneer park on Monday. Earl W. Peirce of Salt Lake City was In charge with 45 family members attending. Following lunch at 2 oclock, a program was presented. Reports of various branches of the family tree were given by Earl W, Peirce of the Hen reietta Madsen Peirce family; Rulon Howells now of Salt Lake City, who recently returned from Brazil where he served as the president of the LDS mission there; remarks and song by Mary Peirce Howells, Salt Lake City; Melvin Richards told of Louisa Madsen Richards . the family; Ephraim M. Johnson of the Alice Madsen Johnson family; Mrs LeRoy Petersen of the Amy Madsen Jensen family: Max Olson of Mary Madsen Olson family; recitation by a grandson of Max Olson; Sketch of the life of Adolph Madsen, given by Uarda Jensen Connor, completed the program. Present were Daisy and Sevens Madsen, daughters of Adolph Madsen and Marlnus Olson, husband of Mary Madsen Olson. Reunion next year will be arranged by Louisa Madsen Richard's family. Following the program, games were directed by Lydia Peirce for the young people. ! Members attending came from Pocatello, Idaho; Ogden, Salt Lake City and Brigham City, for the affair. H t F -- A JOINT RESOLUTION nr PRO- POSING TO AMEND SECTIONS 2, 8 AND 4 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE CONSTITUTION OF UTAH BY CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE LEGISLATURE MAKING EACH COUNTY OF THE STATE A SENATORIAL DISTRICT, BY REAPPORTION- ING REPRESENTATIVES AMONG THE SEVERAL TIES OF THE STATE COUNACCORD- ING TO THE 1950 CENSUS, AND BY AUTHORIZING THE LEGISAS LATURE TO DECREASE THE WELL AS INCREASE NUMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES. Be it resolved by the legislature of the State of Utah, of all members elected to each house two-thir- ds 4 eoncurring therein: Suction L It is proposed to amend Secs. 2, 8 and 4 of Article IX of the Constitution of Utah to read: Section 2. The Legislature shall provide by law for an enumeration of the inhabitants of the State, A. D. 1905, and every tenth year thereafter, and at the session next Mu. following such enumeration, and also at the session next following an enumeration made by the authority of the United States, shall ' ' revise and adjust the apportionment for representatives on the basis of such enumeration to ratios to be fixed by law. Section 8. The Senate shall coni ( sist of one member from each county of the State, and the House of I Representatives of seventy-fiv- e members. The Legislature may increase or decrease the number of representatives, but the number of representatives shall never be less than twice nor greater than three times the number of senators. 4.4i, Section 4. The group enjoyed dinner at the Christof fei sen home on Thursday and Sunday. On Saturday, in ohservasce of Ve Noy Christoffersen s wedding anniversary the family partied at Maddox Ranch House. Dr and Mrs Jay O Anderson of Logan announce the arrival of their fifth youngster, a son, born September 4 Mrs. Anderson is the former Nelda Huber of Mesa, Anona Mrs J J.
