Modern Cleaners is leading and Marge Anderson, reporter for the league, has made that fact sharply clear. Sweet News To Beet Farmers The optomistic forecasts of higher sugar prices by all segments of the sugar industry are being justified in the light of developments in the New York sugar market during the last few days. Sharp activity was noted last week in the New York sugar market, as New York refiners advanced their price 25 cents per cwt. to $8.75, reflecting a strong tendency in the raw market. Raw sugars advanced to $6.35 and it appears that $6.50 raws are not far distant.
