The game had to go 10 innings before Farmington pushed over six runs to break a three to three tie and that was the ball game. ; in scored their Farmington half of the first and third innings to lead 2 to 0. Brigham City tied up the count in the bottom of the fourth inning with a brace of runs. Holman led off the inning and was out short to first, but Poulsen singled and Cliff Watkins drew a base on balls to put two on base with one away. Earl Nielsen was out from third to first with the runners advancing on the play to second and third and Woodland connected for a two base hit to drive both across the plate and tie up the game. Farmington went back Into the lead in the top of the eighth Inning with an unearned run. Smith, Farmington third base-magot on base on an error to start off the Inning and with one away Bell, visiting center fielder doubled to drive the run over the plate. The last two men struck out leaving Bell stranded on second base. In the last of the ninth, Nielsen started off the Inning by walking. Woodland hit into a double play to dim the fading hopes of the faithful, but three straight walks loaded the bases and Baird was at bat. Hamblin, Farmington pitcher, got a little over eager to work the hidden ball trick, which they had pulled on the locals in the first game of the series, and took his place on the rubber. When he made his motion to the plate without the ball the umpire Lower, called a balk which moved In the tleing run Just before Baird struck out. In the top of the tenth the locals fell apart and the winners shoved over six runs to cinch the game and the right to a berth in the state tourna. Provo Timps Here Tonight cham-- follows:1 Mi! Peaches Play The Brigham City Peaches meet the Provo Timps tonight in Rees Pioneer park with one thought in mind, "Things are gonna be different. The Timps have been In the Peaches' fuzz all year long. The only games that the locals have won from the Timps was in the first half at Provo. They have never beaten them on the local diamond and have lost three games to them this year. If they are going to even the score with Provo for the year, the Peaches will have to win the last two games and they plan to start tonight. Bud Powers Is scheduled as the probable starter for the Peaches. The local left hander has thrown some good ball games this season. He has had plenty of rest and should be in top shape for the ganfe. This will have the Peaches fielding a stronger hitting club because Powers along with Van Orden are the leading hitters on the Peaches roster. Bubak, will do the catching for the locals. In the last couple of games Bubak has started hitting the ball well and ws the boy that tied up the hair raising game with Helper last Wednesday. The rest of the line-uwill be much the same as the Peaches have fielded in their second half games. Cowley at first, Gub-bin- e or Gibbs at second, Faunce on short and Johnson or Ny man on third. The outfield wil Ibe Williams in left, Cullimore in center and Nichols in right field. There is a possibility of mov ing Williams to first base and starting Van Orden in the outfield depending on whether a left hander or right hander throws the game for the visit Ing Timps. The game will start at 8:15 and a good crowd Is expected In view of the last two exception ' ally good ball games. p Outdated Coins No Good its NEW! super! c sura ml I i i7 waft1 Easy t handling power-to-par- News Of Intermountain Indian School By Helen B.
