Show Local Civic Club Honors Daughters At Garden Party Civic improvement Club members and their daughters met in the lovely gardens at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Olof E. Waddoups, mathematics and science teacher at the Intermountain School, left Brigham City Thursday morning, June 15 for N. M After arriving at Tohatchi, Waddoups was met by a group of students from Intermoun-taischool and together they plan to proceed by chartered bus on a general science tour of Arizona and California. Some of the points of interest tentatively included in their itinerary are the National Monuments in Arizona, Grand Canyon, major Air Force bases in Arizona and California, Marineland of the Pacific at Los Angeles, Griffith Park planetarium at Los Angeles, the harbor excursion at San Diego, San Diego Zoo, Naval Air Station at San Diego, Yuma and Phoenix, Ariz. The majority of students on the tour are seventh and eighth grade students of the accelerated regular junior high department at Intermountain school. Waddoups received his Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Utah State university at Logan.
