Show r Advanced Juniors of Sixth Ward Sunday School Enjoys Special Summer Social in Salt Lake A special summer social wa enjoyed by members of he Ad- Visitors At Karl Josephsons Out-of-Sta- te vanced Junior department of the Sixth ward Sunday school last week. On Thursday, July 7, 17 class members, Mrs. Glen Andersen, and. teachers, Mrs. Norwood Loveland Hyer and Wayne spent the day in Salt Lake City. First on the agenda for the day. was a tour of the LDS temple grounds followed by luncheon In the Hotel Utah coffee shop. Following luncheon Mr. of the Hotel Utah staff conducted the young people on a tour of the 'hotel. They saw Chef Gerard in the kitchen, learned what it takes to feed 5,000 to 6,000 each day during the summer at the hotel. They saw many pieces of the original furniture used when the hotel first started 44 years ago. They were pleased ' with the Starlight Gardens, amazed at the' laundry department, the garage and banquet halls. The next stop was seeing KTVT television station. They saw the prop rooms, art rooms, projection and control rooms along with i radio department and record departments. They watched props being placed for Main Street Theater. During a tour of KUTV they watched the live television presentation of Cactus Jim. From the control room they saw camera signals, time notifications and cuts. They returned to Brigham City early 'in the evening.. Young people attending ' included: Frances Hyer, Harriet Westenskow, Kathleen. Hansen, Joan Andersen, Randall Tyson, Deverell Megan, Ramona Winters,. Joan Reeves, Marilyn Charles Whitworth, Lowell Richard Rasmussen, Tingey, Therra Farnsworth, Sharon Karen Hadfield, Leslie Owen and Jerald Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Josephson have been enjoying seeral visitors during the past week. Here from San Marcus, Texas were Lt. and Mrs. Allen White and Mrs. Whites mother, Mrs. Stephens. Dr. and Mrs. Bob Hildabrand and family, Sheboygian, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Josephson, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hunsaker, Richland, Washington. The Josephsons also received word last week that their son, Paul, now with a mapping expedition at Umiate, Alaska, has been advanced to the rank of corporal. Corporal Josephson plans to return to San Francisco early In September.
