I have had the chance to experience both liberal and regulated dress codes. While I was a student at BEHS, I thought its dress code was too strict. Now, Im beginning to see the other side. Clothes and appearance may not always effect grades, but West High School is an example of what can happen. Although West High is rated high academically, the school has little self pride. The carelessness of appearance and the inappropriateness of attire has caused lack of interest and participation in school activities. Be proud of your school and along with that, accept the regulations decided upon. Most important of all, keep Box Elders reputation high in respect.
