Show THE BOX ELDER 2 JOURNAL, Brigham City, Thursday, July,2Q, 1967! ' Uah Letters to the Editor,,, A- - HY t EDITOR: In the normal course of every clay living we sort of become oblivious to the many tilings going on around us until we as individuals or groups are directly affected. Last week, burglars attempted a breakin at the Eagles lodge on north Main, but apparently were foiled in their attempt by cruising policemen. How many times have these servants of the public foiled other attempts not only at businesses and clubs, but in our own homes, just by being on the job. Today there seems to be more and more people who feel the world owes them a living so the lives of our policemen are constantly facing lurking threats, even in small cities, such as our owyi. High court decisions seem to be taking away the weapons these men must have to protect us. The Eagles recognie these situations and have initiated a national program of "Liberty Under Law" which encourages each citien to back the law enforcement officers of our communities and give them the respect and support they need in their everyday battle to protect us, the citizens. So we say, "Thank you" to the Brigham City police, not for any daring brush witn criminals, but for being our protectors and just being on the job!
