Show ' Thursday, October 25, 1962 f Chemical Proves Effective Brigham City, Utah THE BOX ELDER JOURNAL, , Crab Grass, Test In Local Crab grass wad controlled 99 percent on a plot in the Brigham City cemetery by the use of a product known as Zytron, according to Howard Kelly, cemetery, superintendent. In 28 demonstration plots, where were used, 14 different products efZytron proved to be the most fective, Kelly pointed out at a demonstration recently. The Zytron is the active ingredient of a product sold for crab grass concomtrol by the Dow Chemical pany. On one plot, where the product was applied in the fall of the year, per 1,000 eight pounds using square feet, Zjiron proved in this years plots to be the most effec- tive. ANOTHER product shewing excellent results was Morgrow, sold by Wasatch Chemical company in Salt Lake City, This product contains Dacthal, which gave for spring application 92 percent control and fall application, 98 percent control, respectively.
