That is mass participation. It Is a program that offers wholesome recreation to a large proportion of the young men of Brigham City and neighboring LDS wards. Virtually every youth and young man In the wards is eligible to compete. Only requirement is observance of fundamental health rules of no smoking and drinking that all athletes should observe anyway. Perhaps this huge and successful basketball program, which is carried on In all LDS communities, has something to do with the consistently nationally competitive university basketball teams in Utah.
