Polio Day on Tuesday was for Box Elder, Weber and Davis counties. the 21 Boy Injured By Blast from Unloaded Gun The accidental discharge of a calibre rifle, thought to bp unloaded, sent Terry Petersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Petersen, 265 North Third East, to Coolpy Memorial hospital at about 11:30 Thurs.22 day morning. Terry was moving the rifle when it jarred against the floor and discharged, the bullet inflicting a flesh wound across his chest, lodging in the upper part of his left arm. While still confined to the hospital, the vietom is resting well following removal of the bullet. On Wednesday night, a free square dance will be held on West Forest street, just off Main, as a special added attraction while Thursday night has been reserved for the annual Peach Queen Pageant and Coronation Ball sponsored by the Brigham e City Junior Chamber of which will see 50 of Box Elder county's loveliest girls competing for the honor of becoming the 1954 Peach Queen. Friday and Saturday will be busy days, starting each morning at 10:00 oclock with a band followed sharply at concert, 11:00 oclock with the big Peach Days parade, the junior parade event proceeding the major which will contain at least 75 units including bands from many surrounding communities. Corii-merc- .Each day following the parade, a free program will be presented at the Main street reviewing stand while the period from 2:00 to 5:00 each afternoon will be devoted to a free vaudeville show with bands, marching demonstrations, Indian ceremonials and various specialty acts. On Friday night at 8:00 t oclock, a variety show will be presented at Rees Pioneer park grandstand and a Shetland pony will be given away as an attendance prize. Saturday afternoon and night, Horse Show the Intermountain will be the featured attraction at the grandstand.
