Call chairman of the Republican Central committee, at the county convention held last Saturday night and Mrs. Elma was reelected vice lady. Call will replace Charles J. Wood, Garland, as head of the county committee. Secretary of the organization and treasurer are yet to be named, the convention voting to leave the selection of these two up to the new chairman and chairlady. Approximately two hundred delegates and party members which attended the gathering apportioned the 35 delegates to the state convention among the voting precincts in the county on a basis of the vote at the last general election and the attendance at the county convention. The group also elected three state committeemen to represent Box Elder county. They were Albert Thorson, O. Dee Lund and Mrs. Phyllis Glover, all of Brigham City. Each pre-- , cinct will have two members on the county central committee, it was decided. Attending the meeting from Salt Lake City, and speaking briefly were Oral J. Wilkinson, state chairman; Lloyd Cooney, president of the state young Republican group; Joseph Nelson, Senator Wallace represen-tinBennett; and Irs. Jacques, national committee woman from Utah.
