Show Mothers , Daughters Arc Honored In Fourth Ward Relief Society Tuesday were Mothers and daughters honored guests at the closing social of the Fourth ward Relief society Tuesday In the ward chapel, Baskets of blossoms were arranged about the hall exuding an air of a spring garden. President Pearl Hunsaker presided and welcomed all attending. Program committee members Marwere Peggy Rasmussen, jorie Christiansen, and Rhea Rees. Levon Reeves was mistress of ceremonies and with poetry and artistry paid tribute to mothers in the program. renlA musical number was mothers dered by the singing with Mary Kotter directing and Rhea Rees accompanying. Prayer was offered by Esther Jensen. Little Linda Robinette sang a solo and Lucy Wright and her daughter, Barbara Horton, sang a duet, followed by a duet by Mrs. Hortons, twin daughters, Kay and Bobby Horton, Mrs, Lillie Roberts gave a retold story on "1A Search for Hapfollowed by a duet by piness, her daughter. LaDee Everton. Mrs. Margaret Johnsen played a piano solo. Mary Kotter and her five daughters played an orchestra numlber with each playing a separate Instrument. Agnes Laney and her daugh- tens played a musical trio. The singing mothers gave the closing number. Each mother present Introduced, herself and her children and guests. Tables were laden with delicious reserved cafeteria freshments, style and each mother present was given a potted plant and each daughter an iris bouquet. The wards summer program will consist of visiting teachers report with special features on the first Tuesday of each month beginning at 2 p. m. Mrs. Woodland is the former Nanette Hansen, daughter of Mrs. Grace H. Hansen. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. T. Wayne Woodland of Burley, Idaho. Lois Christensen Here Visiting With Parents Mr. and Mrs. De Vere Christensen are enjoying a visit with their daughter, Lois, who arrived recently from Los Angeles- to spend a few days in Brigham City with them. Miss Christensen is scheduled to return on Sunday. She is employed by the Founders Insur- ance company In ILos Angeles. Bishop Rulon Hirschl presided with Counselor Eugene Butt conducting. Praise To The Man was the opening song. Earl Barnard offered the invocation. God Our Father Hear Us Pray was the sacramental song. Norman Christensen and Richard White were priests in charge of the sacrament. They were assisted by the deacons. Two Trail Builder boys, Bradley Mclntire and Laren Petersen, were presented by their teacher, Mrs. Carrie Petersen, to President Thelma Billings of the prmiary, who in turn gave them their certificates of graduation. She then recommended them to their bishop for ordniation in the priesthood. Bradley was recommended to the bishop of the Fifth ward and Larens recommendation went to Bishop Hir-scof the Perry ward. were also Seagull girls graduated Sunday evening. Mrs. La Von presented Wagstaff Gloria Nelson, Mary Schroeder, Donna Davis, Catherine Nelson and Naomi Wagstaff to President Billings who conterred the cerMrs. tificates of graduation. Alta Barnard, MIA president, accepted them at mutual members. Maxine James was presented a pin and accepted as a mutual member. The remainder of the program was conducted by the Aaronic Pnestliood. Boys chorus sang a selection followed by a talk on the Restoration of the Priesthood by Royal T. Petersen, Aaronic priesthood coordinator. Talks were given by Gary Wagstaff and El wood Petersen followed by a song by the boys chorus. Connie Wagstaff and Richard White then spokel Closing remarks were by High Councilmen Heber J. Sessions and J. Wesley Perry True To The Faith was the closing song. Carl Nelson offered the benediction. -- First Ward Primary Meet At Westovers For Lesson Mrs. Lillian Westover, Mrs. Ruth Jensen and Miss Karen Gundersen were First ward Primary officers and teachers preparation meeting hostesses on Monday evening, May 26, at the Westover home.
